The farrier came out yesterday and trimmed him while I was still bringing in the other two, in the paddock, without a halter, with no one holding him, and he didn't move a muscle except to pick up the next foot when the last one was put down. Not bad for a 20 month old colt I thought

Yeah well I didn't mention that the little grey Brandy was in season and very unco-operative for the farrier so I wouldn't nominate me for farrier training LOL.
After two false starts have finally got a great farrier though, very patient, qualified, and a nice guy! Now *sigh* it is horse dentist time so will need to find the right one of those too.
